MUSEUM OF LONELINESS

(In)visibility

AUGUST, SEPTEMBER 2019

CONTEXT

A moment of realization, that aesthetic instant of quietude while exploring the seen/unseen spatially within the museum. By meditating on the objects, corridors and spaces that have been obscured by the passage of time, my perception of the space (intent) begins to become altered. How were these works originally meant to be experienced? What was the intended purpose of these winding hallways and stately rooms? What I came to understand was that the space is not simply a structure, but a supporting image frame that carries with it a composition of profoundness, signification and perspectivism—an intimate space that amplifies the discourse between the visitor’s experience and works of art.
